LADY DUCKS COLLEGE DEVELOPMENT CAMP

TUESDAY SKILLS CLINICS AT THE RINKS ANAHEIM ICE
PUCKHANDLING * SHOOTING * SKATING * SCORING * POSITIONING

Come out for the Tuesday Night Hockey Skills Clinics at The Rinks Anaheim ICE from 5:40-6:40pm. Sessions are $25 – pay as you skate!

This weekly skills development clinic is for quick hands, moves and puck-to-stride coordination. Designed for anyone that wishes to develop their shot as well as scoring techniques, angle and positioning. Clinics feature professional instruction and are for all ages and skill levels. Full gear is required.

SOUTH BAY DESTROYERS HOCKEY TEAM

SPEED SKATING OPEN HOUSE AT THE RINKS – LAKEWOOD ICE
THE RINKS – Lakewood ICE will be hosting its inaugural Speed Skating Open House at THE RINKS – Lakewood ICE on April 26 from 4 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. This event is open to participants of all ages, as Lakewood ICE will provide instruction for children and adults alike.

The Speed Skating Open House will begin at 4:00pm. Registrants will meet with instructors for 15 minutes before enjoying a half-hour speed skating lesson, followed by an exhibition race and practice session.

The Open House offers children and adults the chance to learn the basics of speed skating during a supervised on-ice session. Participants will be provided with skates and other essential equipment prior to the 1-hour session.

WESTMINSTER ICE FIGURE SKATERS AT SKATE LA GRANDE EVENT
The U.S. Figure Skating season started for the year in San Diego April 4-6 with the Skate La Grande event.   Westminster ICE was once again well represented.
 
Victoria Giang 1st and Vanna Giang 2nd in Novice Ladies, Nhi Do 1st in Intermediate Ladies, Thomas Hsu 1st and Gerald Hsu 2nd in Pre-Juvenile Boys, Kelly Lansdell 1st and Bethanie Luu 4th in No Test Ladies, Ariel Phou 1st and Ashley Nguyen 3rd in High Beginners, Andrea Brown also skated in the Pre-Preliminary level

CRAZY HAT NIGHT COMES TO WESTMINSTER ICE
Crazy Hat Night is coming to The Rinks – Westminster ICE on Friday, April 11th from 7:15 p.m. - 9:15 p.m.!  Come out and skate with your craziest hat to receive FREE skate rentals and be entered to win great prizes throughout the night!

ANAHEIM DUCKS LEARN TO PLAY PROGRAM
The Anaheim Ducks Learn to Play Program presented by Bauer is back, giving all first-time hockey players the chance to get on the rink (ice or inline) in full hockey equipment for FREE!  Participants receive instruction from The Rinks coaching staff on how to skate properly while implementing some of the basic skills in hockey such as passing, shooting, and stick handling.

The Learn to Play Program is a (4) four week session geared toward participants 10 years old and younger (due to equipment sizes). Each participant is provided with an equipment bag, helmet, shin guards, hockey pants, elbow pads, shoulder pads, gloves, stick and a jersey, which they get to keep during the duration of the session, giving them the opportunity to practice what they have learned between each session. Skate rentals are provided for free at each rink as well. The use of full hockey equipment allows participants to get the feel of skating in full hockey gear, allowing them to experience the sport as a whole without taking on the financial commitment of purchasing all the equipment.
 
Participants who complete the Learn to Play program and continue on to a paid program within The Rinks will receive a FREE, complete set of Mission/Bauer equipment to keep courtesy of Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry.
